A CENTER FOR HEALING AND CHANGE

Building Bridges offices on E Front Street

Welcome to the Building Bridges Community

We have created a community of therapists at Building Bridges who work independently in our own private practices. Since 1999, we've been helping our clients improve the quality of their lives and relationships. Through our collaborative model we can offer a variety of therapeutic services and tap into one another's strengths to best meet your needs. We look forward to meeting you in our offices in Media or virtually via Zoom or FaceTime.

Meet our providers to find a therapist who’s right for you.

OUR FRAMEWORK

In an age of increasing fragmentation and isolation in health care, where the emphasis is more and more on individual pathology, diagnostic labels, and the management of symptoms, we have developed a holistic, systemically-oriented framework that encourages the expansion of connection, collaboration, and possibility in relationships in all aspects of life. Our focus is on encouraging healthy personal and family development, cultivating nurturing and trusting relationships, developing effective ways to resolve personal and interpersonal conflicts, and building individual and family competence and confidence. Our areas of expertise extend across the spectrum of individuals, couples, families, groups, schools, and faith-based organizations.

The core principles that permeate the clinical work at Building Bridges include:

  • Respecting individual and family uniqueness, differences and strengths

  • Promoting courage and creative expression

  • Encouraging the exploration of new ways to experience relationships and relate to oneself and others

  • Encouraging the shift from hopelessness and helplessness to confidence and productive engagement in life

  • Believing in the healing power of human relationships
