Welcome! Perhaps we will work together on your journey of healing and growth. I’ve been in private practice for 26 years, working with individuals, couples, and families, though am currently focusing on mostly individual psychotherapy. My education includes an A.B. from Vassar College; an M.A. in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University; a two year pre-doctoral internship at The Institute of Pennsylvania Hospital; a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Georgia State University; four years of coursework at the Philadelphia Center of Psychoanalysis; and more recently, I completed certificate training in Mindfulness and Psychotherapy through the The Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy, offered through the Cambridge Health Alliance and Harvard Medical School.
Our work together would center on appreciation of the simultaneous truths of individual separateness and autonomy, with connectedness to families (past and present), friends, co-workers, and the larger socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural contexts in which each person lives. Because people are meaning-making, historical beings, we would explore unconscious as well as conscious experiences that inform your life in the present, and imagined future. We would work together collaboratively to more clearly understand your suffering, strengths, and what have been obstacles to your living with greater fulfillment.
I would be happy to talk further with you about the possibility of working together. I can be reached at 484-919-9208.
